Server configuration in TostHost.pl

Game version notice

This guide may have been written for an earlier version of Valheim. Some of the information (file paths, panel option names, commands) may no longer match the current state of the game.

Right after buying the Valheim service, it is worth changing the server's default configuration. To do this, go to the game control panel (panel.tosthost.pl) and then to the STARTUP tab.

As you can see in the image above, there are 5 options available.

  • You can set the server name (@tosthost.pl is not required with us!)
  • It is probably also a good idea to change the default password ;)
  • The world name is the name of the files; the path to game saves is /.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local
  • If automatic updates are enabled, the system will try to download a new version on every server start, if one exists.
  • The crossplay option lets you play across different platforms.

Remember! For the changes to take effect, you have to restart the server.
